For more than seven years FAC has been involved in a wonderful project that has seen shipping containers converted to libraries and sent to schools in the slums of Nairobi. We’ve called it our Angaza Beyond Project. We are so thankful to the people who have gathered or bought suitable books in over the years to keep this project going, and we can tell you that the finish line is now in sight. We are looking forward to closing the door on the final container well before the end of the year.
But to complete the task we need your help. We need about another 500 non-fiction information books – please note that we don’t need any more books on animals or Australian history – to complete the final two libraries. They need to be appropriate for primary school-aged children, be in good condition and nothing electronic (ie not require batteries or a machine to operate).
So, if you can help, please drop your books into the church office during the week or bring them along to church on Sunday.

Praise God that in His mercy, through Christ, we can be reconciled to God, finding forgiveness from sin and new life in Christ.
Pray for God’s spirit to bring all people, irrespective of race, language or culture, together as a united people in Christ.
Pray for indigenous church leaders of this nation, as they faithfully shepherd those under their care; to be salt and light to their communities and our nation.
Pray for all believers to live lives full of grace, seeking justice with mercy and caring for those, in love, who are disadvantaged.
