Saturday, 11 December | 5:30 - 7:30pm
|
The easing of restrictions from 8 November announced by the NSW Government earlier this week is great news, however it’s still not quite enough for us to be able to hold Figtree Community Carols in its usual format this year. What we have decided to do, however, is hold a smaller scale Carols event on our own property. It will be held on Saturday, 11 December, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, on the floodplain at the rear of our church that adjoins the Figtree High School oval. There will be entertainment, carols singing, and activities for the kids. You can BYO picnic or there will be a sausage sizzle available. This is a great opportunity for us to gather as a church community at the end of what has been a challenging year, and we also encourage you to invite your friends, neighbours, work colleagues, etc. We’ll be giving you more details about the event over the next few weeks.

All Saturdays | 8am - 4pm
|
To prepare the church property ready to host Carols, we’ll be holding working bees from 8am to 4pm on Saturdays through to the Carols.
Everyone who can help, even for just a few hours, will be greatly appreciated.
If you are able to provide, the following items will greatly assist the work:
- Box Trailers (as many as we can get)
- Brush cutters with steel discs
-
Branch cutters
-
Chainsaws
- Garden clippers
- Rakes
- Pruners
No need to RSVP - just come.
Please bring a hat, gloves and eye protection.

Ignite camp is coming back in 2022 down at Waterslea and Koloona and is an important part of the Youth discipleship and outreach of FAC. This year we are talking about what it means to be made in God's image and how that shapes our identity as His people. We're believing that God is going to do some awesome things in our young people this year. We can't wait to regather them for the week to kick off youth ministry for 2022!
Early bird has finished but registrations are still open.

The story of Figtree Anglican Church is one of providence and generosity. Our Annual Gift Day has been an opportunity to walk in this legacy and continue to see various projects accomplished for the good of the Kingdom of God.
This year's gift day projects will raise support for Ignite 2022, bless four Compassion projects in the north of Thailand and raise funds to create a more welcoming street entrance for the church building.
Details about the projects and how to give can be found on our website or by clicking the button below.

Meet n Eat is a ministry for members from across our services to meet others, get connected and create a greater sense of belonging. All ages are welcome. Meet n Eat is also an easy way to connect your friends or family who don't attend church to our church community by inviting them to come along with you.
Meet n Eat are excited to be able to gather again at noon on the 2nd Friday of each month at Figgy Bowlo. Why not join them for lunch!?

Toys 'n' Tucker, Anglicare's annual Christmas gift and food appeal, is an opportunity for us to partner with them in a practical expression of Christ's love for those in greatest need in our local community.
Toys 'n' Tucker will look a little different this year. To keep our families and community safe, we have moved online. Share the joy by donating below.

Pray that we would be a people open to the prompting of the Holy Spirit to direct and rule our hearts; teachable hearts that humbly seek God’s commands and promises for us which are then reflected in the way we live out our lives.
Praise God for the rich history of God’s people at FAC being generous over many years with serving, giving of their time and finances.
Pray that each of us would prayerfully consider how we can financially support the Mission and Vision into 2022 with both our general offertory and Gift Day projects; that we might give with generous and willing hearts that overflow with thankfulness for how God has so richly blessed us.
Pray for those tasked with the responsibility of administering the financial resources of our church, for wisdom in decision-making and good stewardship.

Carols by the Creek - Saturday, 11 December
|
Praise God for the opportunity Carols is to connect our local community to Christ and to us, the local church; for the opportunity Carols is to plant Kingdom Seeds; that many would engage with the event.
Praise God for Greg Bell, our Creative Arts Director, and his team in skilfully adapting to the challenges presented by COVID and putting together another new-look Carols this year; for their creativity, musical gifting and the sacrifice of time in rehearsing.
Pray for the organisation of the day and the many planning tasks, and that God would graciously bless us with fine weather on the day.

Weekly at midday on Mondays, join members of FAC for a 15-minute time of prayer in response to the latest news on the COVID situation. We’ll bring the situation to our Sovereign Lord, who, as Psalm 46:1 reminds us, is ‘… our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.’
